From Gatlinburg to Tampa: An Update on My Great Journey at Poor Bear Stories

Greetings all,

Madeline here. It’s been around half a year since starting off at Poor Bear, and many interesting things have been going on since then, including a transition to full-time status. Of course, I’ve been producing reels for the various clients we work with, in addition to also helping out with a music video we produced.

The most interesting thing that happened so far this year was getting to attend the Mountain Man Memorial March in Gatlinburg, TN (my very first time there!) with Legacies Alive, where we were able to get some interviews and other content to turn into social media reels to spread their message about honoring and supporting Gold Star heroes and their families.

This summer I’ll be down in Tampa for SOWF’S Operation EPIC, an event I previously worked on during my internship with Poor Bear in Summer 2022. Shortly after, myself and Jake will be heading to Pennsylvania for Legacies Alive’s Gold Star Family Picnic. It’s sure to be an exciting first year at Poor Bear, and I anticipate the journeys that I’ll continue to traverse throughout my filmmaking adventure!
